LDR is nothing but pen pals. I do not need to repeat what does not work for the people around me who do or have done LDR. I have never been in LDR dynamic but I do not know anyone who has been successful in one whether is be 3 or 22 hours away.

I'm currently in one now and I can honestly say that it sucks for the most part but is worth it when you get to see your s/o and spend time with them. I miss him constantly but absence really does make the heart grow fonder.

When I'm really down and thinking how much it sucks, I think about the wives or husband's who have to be away from their spouse due to being in the military and over seas and it makes me feel better knowing that if they can do it, then surely I can when my boyfriend doesn't live that far away and we don't have to go years without seeing each other.

Not a LDR but I had an online bestie whom was like a sister to me, and I were like a brother to her. We met in a mental health app. It was such a wholesome time. 1 year. Then she had to leave the internet for some unknown reason. Maybe it's because her mom's health worsened. But I'm grateful for her existence in my life and I hope she is better 💜✨

Wouldn't do any LDR. LDR seems hopeless, since the internet is such a hopeless place for humanity. Social media aren't really social like the term indicates.

I had the chance for one but declined as I was worried about them being either not whom they claim to be or just dropping me out of nowhere like a hot rock. I consider it the only time I was too stupid to realize what I had. At that point in my life, my experience with my mom made me very cautious about people, especially with the distance factor.

Going long-distance does nothing but cause problems. If it's a (very) temporary situation in an otherwise in-person relationship, you should be able to make it work, but it's definitely not sustainable.
