Well that's perfectly fine and perfectly normal! All you can do is ask if someone's your type or not. Love takes getting to know someone very very well. It starts the same way any relationship starts though. It starts with both people seeing potential. The other person seems like they're your type and are someone you want to know better.

It makes sense that you don't know how it feels. Nobody does, unless they've experienced it. It's impossible to describe in words. Words just can't come close. But don't worry... you'll know without any doubt when you're in love with somebody. You will never ever ask yourself whether or not you're in love. That seems like a ridiculous question if you ARE in love. You KNOW you're in love, with every fucking cell of your being. You feel something way more powerful than you knew feelings could be. It's a whole different universe than "liking" someone (even likeing them a lot).

I think many people never experience real love. It's overwhelming. It's right at the limit of human emotional capacity. Don't worry that you haven't felt it yet. It requires an extraordinary connection with the right person. It's not a common thing.

I took this question as being super-not-serious. As in... you were just another girl wondering about the nature of love, and whether what you were feeling for some guy was indeed Love.

I thought you were asking in a very general way... without a whole lot of emotional investment in this question (or in the answers you'd get).

I thought this was about as "light" a question as you're apt to find on GAG.

Now, I come to find out, that this was far from a 'light' question. You were asking for very serious and important reasons. You did, in fact have a whole hell of a lot invested emotionally in this question (and in the answers you get).

My answer remains exactly the same, eventhough I misunderstood where you were coming from.

The fact that my answer was genuinely helpful in a significant way, comes as a total surprise to me. The very best kind of surprise.

You are definitely normal. You're no robot for not feeling love. (although, I assume that you do feel romantic feelings and have had guys you "like" very very strongly. But love... is a whole other thing).
