Why are soldiers/marines messed up?

Most soldiers or marines I met were rude toxic and had mental problems. They couldn't stand someone not agreeing with them.

Between the training they go through and the things they are forced to witness, experience and sometimes do when they get deployed it’s no wonder they’re fucked up.

And it’s how they cope because society doesn’t help them with the issues they get from being deployed and neither does the military.

im not saying being an asshole is excusable but you need to at least understand why they are that way.

And I've probably met more soldiers then you have and most of them were pretty nice people.

also there are people out there who sadly pretend to be in the military so it’s possible you can’t across some of those people.

You go through trauma enough times it will mess you up

The things they see on the battlefield, watching fellow soldiers get killed, fighting people who want to kill you, it's no wonder that so many fail to snap back into it when they come back home.

You'll never know unless you've been in a war zone.
Also some of the men just may be naturally like that- angry- it may have nothing to do with their occupations. Just so happens they were shipped off by the military.

Many soldiers come back from war and see the test of society as "civis" who don't know shit about fuck and should bow and kiss their feet because they "served"
These are guys that only joined the military so they could receive such accolades and feel like a badass

Of course there are veterans who fought for different reasons and they're genuinely good, down to earth guys who don't expect shit
