Why do men cheat if they have a girlfriend or wife? Why does marriage exist if men want 100 women?

I never understood this but I hear day by day stories of men cheating on women or single mom alone or divroced mom with kids alone or married women that got cheated on & takes back man & gets pregnant again. What’s point for men have gfs or wife’s if they want cheat have 100 new women?

me I am content with one guy for rest of my life. I don’t look elsewhere I don’t stare at men , I am a one man women. Why men cannot be happy with one girl only? Why they cheat & expect it be secret from girlfriend forever why not have no girlfriend at all so guy can rest of his life date 100 women sleep with all of them & have no partner to cheat on?

I understand people cheat if they are in an unhappy relationship or unhappy marriage or seperated & see other people. but daily hearing more single moms & people cheated on.

Better house, better car, better wife. What they have or are able to get, reflects onto them. Just like some women rely on how many men want them or how many likes and comments their picture gets, it confirms their self worth. So men’s ability to hook up with a beautiful women also confirms their self worth. Boost their self esteem and ego.

I think men and women cheat for the same reason, to get more attention, feel control over others, and forget about their own problems.

I've been cheated on during my first marriage, and before getting divorced I cheated on her. Also when I was single and playing the field after I was with some women who were cheating. Out of several of them, I can only recall one who was looking for the sex more so than more attention and affection.

I never married I had two girls friends one at minimum constantly hinted at men hitting on her and seem to be hinting at cheating giving me the impression she would even shared her secret that I was only temporary until someone better came along.
