I remember there was this girl I had a huuuuuuuge crush on in my teen years. She was older than me (her 20s). We were in a group of friends and I started having jealous feelings when she'd talk to other guys. Ofcourse I was way out of line to feel that.
But at a certain point she picked off the signals and then told me very bluntly that she didn't have any interest in me and to stop being jealous.
But she did it in such a blunt way that it crushed my soul for pretty long.
Ofcourse she was in her rights.

All I'm saying is, always remember that the other person is still a "human" who is probably still very tender. So be gentle in your responses even if his/her way of showing his affection is irritating you.
