Yes, but too many people think that love is bright days, rose petals, and birds chirping. That's true sometimes, but real love is equal parts effort and sacrifice. It's about accepting that you won't be able to have everything you want, go everywhere you want, or do everything you want - and sometimes you'll have to give things you'd rather not and go places and do things you'd rather not.

That should be true of both partners, roughly equally, though it's never going to be perfectly balanced.

But just as hard times and bad times may disappoint you, the good times make it all worth it.

No, it exists in the brain as a series of chemical reactions and hormones. Your actions in response to said things define if you truly love someone or not. You can say to them that you love them but if you don't show it, you might as well call yourself a politician.

Yes. But a majority of the time when people say, "I love you". What they really mean is, "I love what you bring to my life". Because a majority of the time it's not actually you they love.
