Does true love exist? ?

This is one of the most controversial and frequently asked life questions. The question never gets old, and the answers proffered so far never get conclusive. There is no universal truth or fact as to whether true love does exist. Even, subjective answers are given with a lot of uncertainties. Questions pertaining to love are usually very sensitive, let alone true love. It has been severally said that true love exists only in and with Christ Jesus and on imaginations. This answer is yet not conclusive. It has also been said that to be looking out for the existence of true love is an act of selfishness. So many controversies here and there, but what many people end up doing is choosing a stance and subjectively justifying it with some available facts. This question keeps reoccurring and being thrown at people but it never gets easier.

You seem confused as to what the word "exist" entails. It means something that begins and ends. Hence true love cannot exist, as it would need to be "immortal" - which humans are not.

I am a hopeless romantic, so I have to say, yes. I know everyone’s experience is different, but I have been fortunate to be in a relationship where we both demonstrate unconditional love most of the time. It is even more remarkable given the fact that we got married at 16 and 17 (she was pregnant). How did we know at that age that we would be so compatible, that 50 years later we would still be best friends and madly in love? Sure, we are human and can have our little spats. Sure there are things about each other that drive us nuts. But I can’t remember the last time we had a major argument. All I can say, it MUST be true love!
