Where have you been. Women have been making money for centuries. Since my great-grandmother all the women in my immediate family have worked.

And "male activities"? Haven't men been cooking, delivering babies, teaching, being nurses and taking care of their children for ages. Just as women have been doing these same activities. Are they "female" activities? ;No they're simply activities that more females than males have traditionally done. And men and women are interested in doing them because they give the man or woman satisfaction.

I learned how to paint when I was a girl. I've painted my house exterior and am redoing my interior. The exterior will be next. When I have the time, I change my own oil. I like to know how my car runs. I wash and wax my car. Mow my lawn. Is that male? Or just rational and competent? I garden. Is that female?

I think anything that increases your life satisfaction and competency is something positive to do. It has no "sex." Maybe more men than women or more women than men do it. But I do it for the pleasure it gives me. Scuba diving. Bird watching. Writing. Art collecting. Sewing. Cooking. Duck hunting.

It what it gives to you. Not who does it.

Activities? Maybe because they are fun. For jobs I guess because in the last 20 years those office jobs that women traditionally did from the 50s onward such as the typist, secretary and later administrator were merged together and later made completely redundant due to software and computer automation. There used to be a whole floor of 50-100 women working as typists, now Microsoft word basically does all that. There used to be women who's jobs were to write and send out letters, now a computer automatically generates and sends it out. This is why for the last decade there's been a big push to get women into STEM jobs because that is where the money is. There's no money to be made working in the food or retail industry.

Because technology has made those things safer thus women are more likely to join in.


Men are natural risk takers so a lot of activities that were only popular among men were that way because only men would find entertainment at risking severe bodily harm for something as insignificant as winning a game about throwing stuff at each other.

Women have realized that an unexpected consequence of the women's lib movement is that men and women's roles in dating have changed. Men need to be more emotionally adept, and women need to be more interesting as people.

Hobbies make people more interesting.

There are many activities that are enjoyable for people in general.


Just because we’ve been socially conditioned to associate a particular activity with one gender, doesn’t mean that other genders wouldn’t enjoy it.


As we’ve become more progressive, people have become more free to enjoy these activities with less judgement.

Cause sometimes they actually teach you things. I did wrestling, jujitsu, kickboxing, mma, and a bit of karate because I have 3 brother and I’m the only girl. Sometimes having brothers suck but I wouldn’t have ever done shit like that and it taught me how to fight and protect myself, discipline, how to think while under pressure and finally how to play rough and not to cry to my mommy when I get hurt.
