Well, you are a human so presumably you have some defect in your personality because of some shit that happened to you when you were young or whatever.

How is fixing that going for you?

Have you completely fixed yourself?

Are you a completely healthy and well adapted and rounded human?

No?

I didn't think so, the vast majority of people aren't.

Now imagine that the defect that you have is so extreme that you basically aren't even a person, you, the real you, is literally still 3 years old and what pretends to be a person is a shell you created to protect yourself.

Can that be fixed?

Not really. I mean you could try and with a lot of help and support and professional guidance etc and total commitment and laser focus I believe improvement and progress is possible.

But it is unlikely in the extreme that any progress of any kind can be made.

The narcissist isn't really capable of making a commitment to changing because the entire point of what a narcissist is is avoiding the pain of taking responsibility for anything.

They just want the pain to go away and they will do anything to make that happen, they are on fire all the time and this is an emergency.

I don't see how you can even consider making long term plans or changes when you are standing in a burning house.

99.9% of the time you can't even talk to the person who owns the house.
