Why it feel so difficult to be his friend?

I have been talking to this guy i met at my sister's wedding from past 6 months. i try my best to be his friend but it's so difficult to be his friend With Difficult to be his friend i meant... he dosen't open up , he is secretive, he dosen't make an effort to talk.. i don't want any romantic relationship with him but he dosen't even give bare minimum

I know i should just leave him to the way he is but was wondering why even a friendship is so Difficult for him

Thnx i told him that i want to know him more then he was like we stay in different cities and with distance in place we can't analyse things you have to be at the same place so that you can understand about my nature and character better is it because of the distance he seems disinterested because he is a person who values face to face conversation more than message or call

It sounds like you’re trying to build a close friendship, and he may not care to do all that. Sharing secrets, opening up, talking often, etc, I would expect that from my boyfriend lol. You guys are cool with one another so just keep it cordial rather than trying to be his bestie. It’s not that deep.
