I've noticed more people are being diagnosed with depression. If you noticed your boyfriend/girlfriend was feeling hopeless and pretended they were feeling OK, but you knew they weren't, would you offer your support?
If they were willing to talk to you about it, would you be comforting to them?

Of course. My boyfriend was drinking excessively and I tried to be there for him as best as I could and telling him he should stop with the excessive drinking and obviously there is more going on that he is not saying. He stopped drinking excessively thankfully and I'd like to think I had a lot to do with it. Just being there I think helped.
Yeah, being there for him probably did help. A lot of times when people drink, they don't have any other ways to vent. That's why therapists recommend a good support system. Usually drinking non-stop is a sign something it wrong. That's nice of you to be there for him. He's very lucky.
Let them know you’re already by their side and even when things get hard you’ll never be frightened away. That even though they don’t feel at their best, you will airway love them unconditionally. Never make suggestions, just ensure them that you always there for support, the remind them of the good qualities they have, tell them even at their hardest moments they are enough. Never lash out, she’ take the high road each time- lead by example. Hold them, shoot with them, just listen.
No, I'd get depressed and join right in next to her.
Like that scene in soul eater if anyone watched it
