WARNING LONG POST- I need perspective especially if anyone is on the spectrum?

I’m on the Spectrum too, but I’m not sure of any advice on how to fix it with him. A trait that we have is strong adherence to rules (though in an effort to fit in with other kids back in middle school, I got corrupted in that regard), so that’s why he feels so strongly about the lie. Personally if it were me though, I wouldn’t be as upset about it and wouldn’t have minded if you gave it the next time we were both working, or left it in my desk with a note.
