Emotionally I make an effort to listen and create a space of intimacy and security so she feels validated and heard and can freely express her feelings. I try to be honest and share how I feel so that she can best connect with me. When I have negative feelings I try to communicate them but it’s tough. When she’s upset I try to stay with her and reassure her vs judging or trying to “fix” the problem. And when we are both happy emotionally I can be a goofball and laugh at myself.

I have been through hell, wars and seen some serious shit in my life and been broken emotionally and with hard work, psychology, a lot of psychology and facing fears made things better and emotionally available. I’m loving, nurturing, and humorous. I definitely go out of way to show someone I care or to cheer them up. I like to give people hope and can be optimistic unless I’m having a bad day myself. I like to inspire others even if I admire them. I’m good at talking things through but admit that I am not all that great at listening. Still, I try to be patient and hear others out because I’m pretty understanding. But there’s only so many strikes til a mf is O U T. I’m very respectful until I feel disrespected.

I can be very attentive and remember little things about my partner. Like his likes, dislikes, his behaviour and how he acts. I use all that information to make my partner feel comfortable around me and make him happy.

I can be very helpful. I will try my best to help and support him in any way I can.

I can be affectionate. I may praise my partner's good qualities and value him for that often.

I can be respectful of my partner's opinions and listen to everything he has to say. Even if I disagree with him, I am willing to fully listen to his opinions.

I've been told by my boyfriend that I am very emotionally mature.
He has ADHD which means he is constantly loosing things like keys, phone, etc. He is so tired of looking for things he put down somewhere and then he can't remember where.
Well, the other day was the straw that broke the camel's back. I remained calm, I listened to him, empathized with what he has to go through, coached him with encouraging words, and eventually he calmed down.
He is the greatest coach when I am experiencing one of my cluster headaches (also known as suicide headaches). He gets me my pill and he coaches me through the whole thing. Counts dow how much longer until the Pain stops which is 55 minutes. He keeps giving me boiling hot washcloths to put on my face, which really help.

We are there for each other and nuture each other in time of need.

I think it's mostly a mix between me being really good at having a good time and the fact that nothing stops me. I don't let bad news overcome my responsibilities, my best moments are under pressure.

I also don't mind having someone tell me about myself. Even if they say something out of anger, I'll genuinely save that thought for later and contemplate over it.

I ignore messages and don't return phone calls, or voicemails.
When we're out I make sure I stare at booties.
Make sure to call you bro, and give you side hugs and kisses on the cheek but only on special occasions.
I forget special occasions and apologize by saying my bad the game was on.

As a man, I don’t need to offer much emotionally, since we offer everything else, stability, protection, security, etc… if you want emotional support, get a dog or a girl best friend. Since most women don’t offer much in a way that benefits a man, I would say that’s an even trade off.
