I mean, you did betray their trust. Why would you expect them to stay?

The ones with that mindset think they should be able to keep their first partner and have relationships (if even just sexual) with other people. I’m not defending it, just giving the impression I get from them. They are only selfishly looking at their own desires and think their first partner is supposed to just stay and be loyal. Sometimes the first partner will be accused of cheating so that it will justify what they are doing.
