My boyfriend and I have been together for 8 months. We're now going into long distance. What's the most thing I need to keep an eye on to make sure he's good and feeling good over long distance.

Well presuming you have been having sex that obviously becomes impractical over long distance. Are you able to get together on weekends? If so then it is important to have good sex to compensate for the droughts.

What I have found is that some/most people communicate in what I call an action oriented style. e. g. 'I suck your cock and you moan'. That gets boring very quickly but most people will write like that. It is better to write emotionally. Well first and foremost, there has to be an end in sight for the distance problem. Visiting each other when possible, but the situation cannot be indefinite.

Beyond that... Communication. That's easier than ever with modern technology, yet harder than ever because most people suck at social skills.

The number one thing is communication. Be there for him when he needs you. As men, we don't enter a relationship with a woman unless we really love her and want to spend time with her. So the fact that he wants to be your boyfriend means that he wants to spend time with you. So make sure that you are investing in the relationship and spending quality time with him.
