At a language learning event where we could "learn French and make friends". This was not specifically for singles. She was not even really looking for a partner at the time, but I was.

Not sure if either of us can be called "perfect" for the other. We love each other and that's enough. 😍

It is. I was also reading a book “Smart Women Finish Rich” - Financial Planner for women.

When I noticed him, hard not to notice, he was the most presentable guy there, with the broadest shoulders and a very athletic body and just a very friendly smile. Standing at the counter and trying to steal a glance from me, he thought I didn’t notice, he almost tripped when he was trying to look. I found it very fun and smiled and looked down so that he wouldn’t see I was actually smiling because of him.

He noticed though, came and sat in front of my table and looked at me so happily that I involuntarily waved at him and smiled back. Then he approached and asked if he could sit at my table. He was so natural, charming and cute, I couldn’t say no. I hesitated and than said, yes sure.

He later on told me he bought spaghetti bolognese because I was eating it too. He noticed me from outside and he said he could never forgive himself not approaching me. That’s how it all started.

I used to be very shy, I have no idea why I waved him that day. It just felt natural. Since that day there hasn’t been a single day without his active caring and attentive presence in my life, till the day we broke up.

Funny thing was that, at that exact table, 2 weeks earlier before meeting him I was talking to my mom and telling her, I am not interested in men or in love and that there’s no chance I will fall in love and put my career away.

6 months from that day I was head over heels in love, going to Bali and crying that I would be away from him for 2 weeks. We reunited and moved in together after I came back from Bali.
