Why does my boyfriend keep having dreams about me cheating on him?

He’s been having these dreams for the past few months. I’ve never cheated on him, and I don’t believe I’ve given him any reason to think that I’m cheating on him. It’s been making him really sad and I don’t know how else to reassure him that I’m not cheating other than telling him I’m not and giving him the choice to go through my phone if he wants to.

Maybe ask him what he's been watching on youtube? Given a couple years ago I'd say maybe he's transferring his cheating, maybe your doing something suspect, so on and so forth.

With a minority of women being so very popular on shows like fresh and fit, I can 100% see where that would make a lot of guys paranoid and insecure about the women they have though.

Maybe to save your relationship, just recommend he take a break from that for a while if he is watching it, or maybe he had a friend who got cheated on, that is rough, no one wants to get cucked, well, few enough do that it isn't worth mentioning. Instead of reassuring, maybe ask more why he would feel that way.

You've got to find a solution, otherwise it could doom your relationship, if there's no trust, that's like a tree without roots.

It's like a mix of what everyone said so far: paranoia, some would think he cheated on you so his guilt is getting to him, maybe you do deserve better. Mostly it can mean many things. Maybe he thinks he's not good enough in bed for you. I've heard different reasons but the main two is fear he's not doing enough to satisfy you or he cheated/thought of cheating on you and he feels guilty. You can do everything in the world to try to convince him, but his own conscience is what the issue is.

Typically it's a subconscious fear bubbling to the surface. What concerns me is he tricked you into letting him go through your phone. Do you have equal access to his phone?
