She wasn't feeling well. We had spent the night together in a hotel (didn't do anything because she felt suffocated without her inhaler). Uber nor Bolt was working, so I paid for her taxi home.

We barely spoke since that time as life had gotten in the way and she was suffering from mental health. She pops up a few months later and insists she wants to pay for that taxi and then says 'or I'll just pay for you when we next meet'. I didn't think much of it. It was expensive but it wasn't wasted. Thoughts?

There's an app called Zelle, get her to send the money through that. If you're trying to take things to a more intimate level, reject the cash and have her make the next move without investing more money and minimal effort.

To me it seems like she thought the gesture you made of paying for her Uber was so kind of you. It seems like she really appreciated it because a couple of months later she wanted to pay for yours.

But when you said she said, "Or I'll just pay for you when we next meet" got me like WOW. I'm kind of interested in how you responded lol

I mean the thing is, I've not spoken to her properly in like 5 months. She went through a period of psychosis where she lost her senses. I'm shocked that taxi journey home stuck with her (it was expensive but she was in no state to travel home on public transport). She's better now and would like to meet again, offering to pay for whatever. Worth looking into?
