Recently my boyfriend expresses reservations about our relationship. I ask him why but he doesn't seem to be sure himself. We have tried to talk a few times but he keeps saying things like I don't know, I'm confused. He says he wants to be sure of everything to continue the relationship. What do you think these reservations mean? Any suggestions or ideas?
Rather than asking him to focus on the negatives of the relationship, ask him to talk to you about his ideal relationship. What would it look like? What would it feel like? How would it impact him? Maybe he can give examples of what he's seen or experienced (though avoid linking any experience to a particular person). That way, you will be able to see what voids exist in the relationship. It is generally easier for people to identify what they'd like over bringing up subjects that could potentially lead to conflict.
Ask him "what the fuck does express your reservation on our relationship fucking even mean"? Speak English God dam it. And if he continues to go round and round. Then suck it up and tell Prince charming that you made a reservation for him to go fuck himself..
