My boyfriend is struggling mentally. Should I send him a care package/ flowers?

My boyfriend have been together for 1 and a half year now. But currently my boyfriend has really started to struggle mentally because he struggles to get a job. It has gotten to this point that he isolate himself, he only wants to be alone at home and not see anyone at the moment. We text everyday and I know that he text his mates as well, and that’s about it that he has of contact to other people other than his mum and dad that he lives with. He doesn’t want talking about his struggles so unless he brings it up himself I try not to ask him. But I was thinking of maybe sending him a delivery with either a care package, like a hamper with some beer or chocolate in etc or some flowers. It’s also Mental health awareness week this week so I thought maybe sending something this week would fit. I have sent him and other family members of him flowers before for special occasions/ days.


Since I’m not able to see him in person due to his isolation would this be an okay thing to send him something like this in this situation?

I've never gotten flowers so i would mean a lot from the right woman especially if it came with a note, the world is a cold place for men, we often don't get any praise for our efforts.

That’s very thoughtful. Guys never get flowers. If you send him flowers and a small care package, it’s a great way to let him know know you’re thinking of him while also giving him space. He’ll love it and it’ll remind him that people care. Hopefully your support helps him through this, I wish you both the best.

I think it would be better if you wrote him a good resume for him. I use jobseeker. com. He might be feeling less of a man right now so maybe try to get him a job?

Definitely a good idea.

Men generally feel more self-conscious about performance than anything else, and not being able to find or do a job properly is at the top of the list of things that will make a guy feel inferior or like he's a loser.

Sure it's a very sweet gesture. Just let him know that you support him and be there for him whenever he needs it. Its very nice that you consider doing that. You are obviously caring about him so that's really sweet
