Does my boyfriend not want me to show him that I appreciate him, by telling that I want to take him out to a nice dinner?

I have a weak immune system and I am constantly sick with something, having health issues etc. Previously, I had never had boyfriend that cared enough to go with any of my appts or ask how I am actually doing etc. But my boyfriend that I am currently with, who I have been with for a little over a year, he has showed compassion more compassion than all the other toxic and careless buttholes I have dated before. Especially when I started getting G. I problems in December of 2022, he's been with me to every dr appt, endoscopies, procedures etc. And I've told him before that I really appreciate him coming with me, to support me and be an advocate. Tomorrow on 05/17/23 I have a G. I appt follow up and I asked if he is coming with me this is how it went. ( He's 31, and I'm almost 25)
Me: "Hey are you coming with me to my G. I appt at 1:30pm tomorrow?"
boyfriend: "Yea"
Me: "Ok I am working from 9am-12pm, then I'll come over and we can go together."
boyfriend: "Ok"
**ten minutes go by and I decided to text something sweet**
Me: "Lunch is on me tomorrow, for having you come to my appointments- I really appreciate you coming to support me, to be my advocate, and be there for every appointment. If there is another way to show you that how much I appreciate you and caring for me... let me know. You deserve a lot- a nice dinner or lunch @ your favorite restaurant.. I won't take a 'No' as an answer."
boyfriend: "We'll see"
Me "Try again."
boyfriend: " We Will see" (obviously that was not the answer I was hoping to get)
Me: "That's still considered a No", "That's what adults say when they are not sure or its a 'No' but because they don't want to hurt someone's feelings" ( I added the laughing emoji with the sweat on it)
boyfriend: "Oh well."

Did I do something wrong? I am just trying to show my appreciation like I always do. I normally just do act. Like he doesn't want me to take him out? I have paid for food for us before, why is this any different?" What do I say or do?
