Statistically speaking as far as divorce rates go there is a significant correlation between age differences and divorce rates.

As some someone in a long term age gap relationship I would have to say yes. If I'm being honest, us older guys usually get the younger women with daddy issues. That will lead to problems. Some women are old souls and that will work.

In the context of adults age is a number. And, yes, it's really important that the maturity of two people in love can mesh.

The problem is that people look at a number and automatically exclude people they might work really well with.

We see it all the time on this site. People say they'll only date between X age and Y age. And in doing that keep themselves from a lot of great potential partners.

So, I don't think age matters.
