Is it normal to regret not cheating on a POS?

I got out of a relationship several months ago. Not only was he a lying, cheating but he won't give me my money back. It was over $4,000. It was for his sick aunt undergoing chemo, which in the end found out it was all a lie.

I regret not taking the chance to cheat. I had several opportunities, 3 admirers that knew me from our HS years and could've taken the chance but didn't. Stupid me being faithful (never cheated ever) to someone worthless, to a cheater and scammer.

I regret not cheating on him when I had the chance to. Is this a normal reaction?

You would only have cheated yourself. A person like that wouldn't care, so you had become a worse person for nothing.

It's confirmed his aunt was never sick. He invented the story about her undergoing chemo. He blocked me after I continue demanding for my money back.

What would cheating have done to him? It likely would not have hurt him if he was cheating on you.

You're right. Given his reaction of blocking me after I continue demanding for my money, it's likely he would've either not care much or use it against me. It's just that the anger I feel for wasting 4 years of my life I'll never get back and the scam he pulled on me... lying about his sick aunt... that's cruel.

In some ways I know how you feel. I was left with a $10 thousand dollar debt because of some guy. I wanted the money back, but 10 years later I still have not seen a cent of the money he took from me.

As for him lying about his sick aunt. That is absolutely disgusting of him, hopefully one day karma will catch up to him.

The anger you have inside of you right now will eventually go away and you will one day meet an amazing man who will love you and spend his life with you. Stay strong. Remember no matter how much regret we may have, unfortunately and sadly nothing can do can turn back time. What we can do is use that anger we have to build ourselves up and become a better version of ourselves

Maybe momentarily. But when you think it through you gain nothing by doing it. And that only would make you just as bad.
