I've been told that love is giving someone the ability to hurt you and trusting them not to.
Personally that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Not because I don't think that's what love is, but because it's absolutely foolish to give someone the means to cause you arm and just hoping they dont.

I think that's part of the description of love but there's more to it than that. Speaking specifically on that definition, it's not about foolishly hoping someone won't hurt you. It's more about knowing that they care about you enough to protect you from harm. If they have the ability to hurt you but actively choose not to, it just shows they care deeply about you. That kind of trust creates a very strong bond between people.
I think that’s just one description of many. I feel like this is true, especially when it comes to sex. I always felt so vulnerable and scared but I had to put all my trust in him.
I mean if you feel that vulnerable when having sex with someone, should you even be doing it with them to begin with?
He is my first and only love? Of course I was terrified at first
I think love can be interpreted differently to everyone. I think love is a feeling you have and you may be in love now and then in love later and have a complete different idea of what love is.
