Can you catch a cheater easily?

My ex (who was from a conservative and Christian family) out of the blue started caring a lot about stopping antisemitism, making it seem it was the biggest problem to ever exist, starting caring about Jewish holidays, and traditions. A year later I found out she was sleeping with a Jewish man from an orthodox Jewish family. Keep your red flags on high alert my friends.

Maybe no. Because I am a very loyal person and when I think someone loves me, I assume they love me the same way I love them, I might find it hard to believe they can cheat.

She lied to him though about being in a relationship for a lot of the time. Not actually his fault.

I didn’t suspect it was because of cheating. I thought she was just interested in spirituality at the time. Was naive af.
