A traditional woman in today's society is a woman who has a job/career but still cares for their partner and children. Cooks for the family pretty much everyday. Takes care of basic things in the house like laundry so on and so forth. Etc, etc, etc.
A traditional man is a man that has a well paying job and provides for the family. Makes sure his wife and kids live a happy life. Helps with house chores/cooking.
I believe it's important for both to have a good balance of work life and family life.
So the man and woman have jobs…but only the woman has chores after she gets home.
Read my comment again I also said that the man helps with house chores.
Traditional, ultimately, is about following God's plan. Those things that run contrary to his plan are the spirit of Antichrist, anti-God, and so on. If a woman says she should be the head of a household over a man this is not in line with God's plan. If a man is not a good leader (of himself and/or others) then he shouldn't be setting himself up over a home or expecting a woman to follow him. A lot of guys skip this detail.
The bible clearly says that "if a man does not work neither shall he eat". A man is supposed to work for a living. This follows also from Adam's punishment for eating from the tree of life where he was told he would have to work for food.. when before that time he had all the food he wanted without having to be a farmer. Women are not in that same category.
I Love Lucy was just a tv show. There's a lot in it that didn't follow the plan but it was entertainment.
Dude there's a lost of bible thumpers who, by your own description, should not have a wife...
@mobiusforniner And? Where did I say that "if you're a bible thumper then everything you do is correct". I did not.
@mobiusforniner
The scripture is clear... if you or "a bible thumper" ignores it that's on you and them.
I have religious relatives who genuinely believe that polygamy and underage marriage is and should be the norm, because it is representative of the biblical era.
Lets keep tradition in the past and collectively work towards a brighter future.
There is a myth that women mostly were stay at home wives. Most wives had a job.
Traditional I guess I raising your kids to they are old enough to attend school then going back to work.
That's the history of the world. What is untradtional is the 1950s housewife ideal.

Pretty much, a women who stays home takes care of the house and kids while the husband goes out and works. Most women actually want to be a tradwife most men want a tradwife. I don’t think the economy in this country really allows that to happen with most couples but that’s the idea.
Tradwives stay the same, the ideal is coming from 1950s and they becoming popular again.
A virgin woman washing clothes by hand and ironing sheets, apparently.
Old-fashioned stereotypes should stay in the past, where they belong.
Stay at home mothers, not stay at home wives. There are very compelling reasons why a mother should be home with her kids, but not so much for childless women not having a job.
Great TV show
