I'm scared i'll never forget about her. What should I do?

We've been classmates for years, she confessed to me during the 2nd year, but i didn't like her back then (she was physically similar, but i didn't know her as a person). Long story short, she got a boyfriend, they broke up more than 1 year ago, i fell in love with her and now i'm trying to forget about her because i guess she's not interested. I've been like this for around 3 years right now, and i'm scared i'll never stop thinking about her. i found out i like her because we've spent so many time together, and i really started loving her from any aspect.

• Approach her and try to begin a relationship
• Give up on her forever as a choice

But don't do any wishy washy stuff of crushes and other stuff. Either do or don't.


Regardless, you may never forget her. Even if her answer is no. Even if you give up on her. That's how the heart and mind work.

i chose the first one. I'll tell her... my only fear is to lose her as a friend, because trust me my only friends are youtube videos aside from her and one other person. i really do care about her and i'm worried about my own mind and future if i'll still be thinking about her.

i don't fear losing her. We're friends, but not that close to talk about intimate stuff and so on. I'd love to have her in my life but, if i got to be honest, only as my girlfriend... if i won't be able to forget about her. Otherwise, also keeping her as a friend will be fine, as long as i'll have forgotten about her. I don't fear losing her, tho. I fear to not be able to forget about her. I won't function as before, i won't see other girls as attractive as her and it will inherently lead to unstable relationships if i'll still have her in my mind. That's what i fear the most
