It's pretty understandable and I would probably experience something similar. Already after a breakup I don't date for a while, since I need a break from the drama that comes from relationships. So, I imagine that'd be magnified in your situation.

I imagine you just need time (I wouldn't be surprised if it were years) and maybe even see a therapist. It's not a case of you being weak, but that's some heavy shit you don't just walk off. Therapists would help guide you into learning healthy coping methods and understanding yourself better.

After finding my first wife with the landlord and the divorce I didn't date for years.
I had hook ups/1 nightstands but nothing serious.
Then about 5 years later I got into racing and started feeling better about myself and then she came along.
I wasn't really interested in her at first until I go to know her. We started out slowly, we both came from troubled marriages.

You don't need to date again. You don't owe anyone that.

However, you also don't need to let her keep affecting you. You can heal and move on. But it sounds like you might need some help, to talk things out.

It's ok to need that support. Two years of abuse is hard to heal from, and it takes time and effort. Give yourself that time and patience.
