How to handle boyfriends family when they ask about a falling out we recently had?

They want to know details about our falling out. How do I handle it when they ask me? Of course I don’t want to talk about it

Basically what you have to say is to be honest I would love to tell you but I don't think that's right if you want to know you're going to have to ask him if he cannot be honest and that's on him one day he will look back at it and probably wish that he did tell the whole truth nothing but the truth and I would love to do that but I'm not going to put our business out there in front of everybody for them to pick us apart it is what it is and I accept that all I know is the truth will set you free and I just want to be free

That's if he did something that was wrong now if you were the one that did something wrong then you have to either walk away from it or you have to let the truth set you free keep it to the point keep it short and apologize and walk away
