Nothing wrong with being the best you can be , and all should strive for that , particularly with regard to weight control at under 40 , this is when you build for the rest of your life , its good to aspire and create a schedule to achieve , its lifestyle.
As for the relationship? Its doomed , don't bother meeting , get yourself right and set high standards by yourself , you don't need others to do so.

My ex used to criticise me at times, I had a strong feeling it’d come because he was that way with others in the beginning. Needless to say he’s an ex. Worst thing was he used to say it was all in my own head. Like I have enough emotional intelligence to know I see things through my own filter, but some things are just off, and that was one.
