Biologically speaking? Yes.

First of what most people claim as "love" isn't! Most of the time it's just limmerance fueled by narcissism. Very few people actually get to the point where they actually love the other person. They just erroneously think they do. And when the limmerance wears off of half the time they don't even want to know the person anymore.🤣

I think that’s more a biological factor of getting horny. Love is more about wanting a partner in life, and to have someone to help you through life.

We have sex to perpetuate the human species.

Though it's nice to have both, you don't need to be in love to have sex that leads to procreation.
