Why does love become too complicated in our generation?

I watched a video of someone asking a 92 year old man about the moments that he was really glad that he had in his life and the old mad told him that his marriage is the best thing that happened in this life, he lived with his wife for 52 years without problems and loved each other so deeply until she passed away and he feel so empty without her and waiting his time to finish so he will join her.
This man made me think if there's any chance that this type of relationships can happen in our generation? We always hear about someone who cheated on his partner or couples that we thought were perfect and they broke up or divorced.
And we see a lot of people get rejected because of silly reasons or have silly problems and they can't go over it, that makes me wonder why this happens all the time these days, and the thing that makes me furious that most of these reasons can be solved by not being a jerk or an asshole.

Yeah I feel you man, love seems way more complicated now. That old dude's story is real sweet, being married that long and really loving each other to the end is like a dream.

I think for our generation, everything is just more messed up and messy. People always on their phones instead of talking, wanting the newest best thing instead of sticking with what they got. Social media lets everyone flaunt what they don't got too, instead of working on what they do.

And cheating, man it's like no one is loyal no more. Just the first pretty face swipes by and forget the person who's been there. Or little problems become big fights instead of working it out. Guess it's just easier to ditch someone than try fix things sometimes.

Hopefully true love's still out there, but it takes more work now I think. Can't just coast like that old guy, you gotta keep date nights interesting and the spark alive. Put the phone down and really listen to your person. Appreciate what you got in them instead of always looking for more somewhere else. If people tried that maybe relationships wouldn't be so messed up like they are now.

Man i really want things to be better cause i think if we continue on this shit the society will reach a breaking point and it will be dramatic and disappointing.

Yeah man, it's definitely worrying where all this could lead down the road. If most people keep bailing on relationships and commitment at the first trouble, pretty soon no one is gonna wanna even try anymore.

Society needs stable families and partnerships to function, ya know? Like kids need good role models of healthy love to learn from. And people are happier longterm when they've got a solid person by their side through life.

If the breaking point comes cause too many gave up, that'll do some real damage. Breakdowns in communities, more loneliness and despair. A whole generation of people who don't know how to love cause they never saw it workin out as a kid. That'd be a dark place to end up, for sure.

It's gotta start with folks like us I think. We need to work on really listening without judgement, owning our roles when problems happen, and choosing to stay committed through hard times. Even if some relationships don't last, at least show others it can be done right sometimes.

Maybe then it'll catch on again. All we can do is try to get better at it ourselves and have a little grace passing it forward. The future is unwritten, ya know? There's hope if enough people step up.

Ofcourse they can happen in our time. The problem nowadays is that the unlimited options in our connected world makes it hard for a lot of people to settle.

Some people become greedy when they see a lot of food on the dinner table.

Too many distractions and idle time. We are literally always going from one thing to the next. We jump to every ding on our phone. We are screwed

People act like bees that wanna land on every flower in the field even if they will not be able to make honey from all of them.

Oh that's such a God way to put it. No loyalty and then everyone is complaining that everyone else is awful

That's what made me mad at some of my friends cause they want my advice and when i tell them not to be awful they act like i'm the one who has a problem with his sight and the way i see things, watching people getting worse and worse makes me lose faith in people.

But it is not complicated for most people. What you read online is not true of the vast majority.

I hope so, but even for my friends when i listen to them talking about their problems with their partners i just wanna scream and tell them that you both are doing shit to each of you and then waiting for good results, and unfortunately it happened a lot recently and i can't ignore it and i already ended my friendship with some people for trying to make them realize they were jerks.
