Do I feel like I am ready to be in a relationship? Yes.

Do I want to be in a relationship? NO.

I'm at the point in my life where I can honestly say I'm happier single than I ever was in a relationship. Looking back on my 20s when I was single, desperate, and was happy if any guy showed me an iota of attention? I kind of cringe at my behavior, what I put up with, and the guys I call myself settling with. I think I'm okay single; it's not the end of the world. I'm sure I could be a great partner!

I have a few things I still need to sort out - primarily some finances, some physical health stuff, and I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and want to try medication.

I've dated on and off through the last 10 years. I can take a few years to myself, and make friends with benefits for funsies.

I don't really want to be with someone before I feel like I've had time to stabilize my lifestyle with my new changes.

I'm in no rush, either.

Well, I will start my 7-year-long university journey in a month. I need to study a lot because I want to obtain a master's degree in the Education department to become an academician. So, the thing is, instead of spending time on dating, etc., I must be stingy and selfish with my time these days because I need to keep my grade averages high, conduct a lot of research, write a thesis, and work a lot. Therefore, I simply have no time for any kind of relationship. My career will begin after a month.

Learned the hard way that first you need to work on yourself, build a career, take care of your mental health, etc. Then you can look for someone or someone will come by.

The hard way I mean by my mental health already being at its lowest and I tried to find someone, didn't work out and here I am thinking about ending it all.
