I know I should never be involved with someone at work and I never was, just to make it clear. This was a 'breadcrumbing' and narcissistic type situation I guess.

Just pretend nothing ever happened and keep it short and professional with him.

Don't spend time in his company whenever possible and keep it professional.

No joking, no talking, no nothing unless it's just about the work.

Not a nice person. Now you know not to deal with them as far as possible. If you like your job, be professional, but you don't owe them and those around them anything more. It's not a club, it's a job. That's why we are paid to be there. And they acted in bad faith, not you, hold your head high and move on.
