Is a guy likely to be jealous of his exes new boyfriend if he’s already in a new & supposedly happy relationship?

I wouldn’t say I was “jealous” when I knew my ex’s had a new man while I was single. But it definitely made me feel sad. But it was more so explained in a way where imagine a wound being ripped back open

I wonder why it only matters if you’re single then and why it doesn’t if you’re with someone else (if that’s true).

Yeah I get that, but I don’t think life is that black and white. It’s natural to think about it from time to time.

Well it’s the reality for most people. I don’t think thinking about it is bad, I think it’s how you think about it and what you then do that determines whether it’s good or bad really.

Typically thinking about an ex is a sign you still have feelings for them. And most people end up acting on it… some even while in a relationship

I think it’s natural to always care for an ex you spent a part of your life with, unless it sad toxic. I don’t think that means you want to be with them though. People naturally and non-intentionally also make comparisons.

Yeah true. I still have feelings for my last ex and have done things for her after she walked away. But again, I have been single since then.

If I was or got into another relationship I wouldn’t have done the same

I’m exactly the same. My ex was with someone new a couple of months after our split. I waited a year until I was ready to meet someone and am glad I did as he’s so much better.
