I try to meet everyone as a blank slate. I like to think of myself as trusting but the reality is I'm 47. And you don't get to 47 without some people letting you down.
So I'd say I trust someone when I first meet someone and where the story is written from there is up to them. But when you lose my trust it's hard to earn it back.
I know I'm capable of trust because I trust everyone in my family completely. But I've also known them for 47 years. But I think that's the rub of it. I will endure all kinds of pain because after knowing them this long I KNOW they would never DELIBERATELY hurt me.
I think this kind of trust cannot be given. It can ONLY be earned with TIME.

I trust my husband but at the same time I'm the most insecure person ever but I'm aware it's my own thoughts creating those stupid insecurities.

I have trust issues, because I trust TOO easily! TOO MANY people have let me down or disappointed me! I try NOT to let this happen, but by nature, I take everyone at face value. I'm NOT good at mindgames!
