Do you believe a long distance relationship is a real one? Why or why not?

Some days I feel like I am in a real relationship and some days I feel like I'm in a relationship with my phone until we actually see each other. This is the longest time we've been apart. It's been two months since we last saw each other and I'm just bummed out about it. And wondering how you guys feel about ldr.

No because although you can text and video that connection and commitment can and will fade. I'm sure there's been people that do it a lot but particularly with today's dating standards and social media every where. I could see massive trust issues being placed in the back of ones head, maybe you think it's a relationship because they make you feel good but unless you meet up there's no genuine value in my opinion! If you long distance date that's fine do you!!!

Yes it's certainly very very very hard to be in. Some days it drives me up a wall not being able to see him.

I think long distance relationships can work I mean I consider the relationship I'm in now long distance because even though we live in the same state it's been a few months since we last saw each other in person

Yes we live in the same state as well and it's been a while since we last saw each other. I think it's almost worse to live in the same state and not get to see each other as much. We should be seeing each other much more often than we do being 2 hours away. There's couples that see each other twice a month and live much further away. It's so frustrating. 😫

It’s real, just a very hard one, requires a lot of communication and trust. Like you do rn too, it’s gonna feel like you’re in a relationship with your phone sometimes too

Thanks. I just needed that reassurance that it is real. Sometimes it doesn't feel that way with never getting to see each other in real life except for once out of a blue moon. It is very hard work but I love him so much that this has to work even if it is mostly communicating through the phone.

But we do actually see each other usually once every month but lately it's been harder to see each other. So I feel it's real because we do get to see each other in person.

I have turned guys down because I love him and can't see myself with any other guy. We fought really hard to be together and have been through a lot to be together.
