When a guy cheats on a girl to what limits should he go to help her heal?

Ok cheating can screw anyone head up... the trust.. self esteem... their worth... do u feel obligated to take steps into making your guy or girl trust u again... no matter what it is?

Wouldn't know, while I have never cheated, I have been cheated on twice, so that is why my first wife earned the ex in front of wife, as well as 1 girlfriend who earned the same 2 letters.
I caught my wife with the landlord, I did the standard come home early thing, and there he was trying to hide in the closet pulling his pants up, she said what are you doing here to which I replied I used to live here and turned around and walked away.
About the same with the ex girlfriend, I knew what was going on so I had enough and left.
She wanted to get back together a few months later, I almost did, but I didn't think I could get past all of the lies.
I guess she figured out that the grass wasn't so green on the other side of the fence.
I'm a one and done guy, do that once and I am gone.

Yes, because at some reason she's been wrecked by the thoughts her partner cheated in her. As you said its emotionally devastating questioning her worth is a big down moment for a girl/woman. That is trauma that can heal but have scars on the long run.

I think it just requires patience. They shouldn't expect their partner to get over it overnight, processing things take different amounts of time for different people and the outcome is simply the consequence of your action. if you want to make things work, earn back the trust and know that you broke something in the relationship that will never again be the same, at least not for her. if you don't want to put in the effort, break up.
