My boyfriend's ex is looking at my Instagram stories every day. I do not want to see her every time I look at who watched my story. Should I tell my boyfriend in any case, or just block her? I cannot set my account to private because I have a photography account and I share content public.

Even if I just block her, is this something I should talk about with my boyfriend?

She'll likely get tired of you and move on. It seems she's doing this now because she's curious about you, or wants to see what you're doing with your boyfriend now. Once she starts seeing someone else or gets bored of constantly viewing you, it will stop.

Blocking is a pretty clear message: "you are not welcome on my page". It could stir up some drama. Nothing says you don't give a shit better than just ignoring her. There could be a part of her that is baiting you to do something like this so she can go straight to him to say, "Look what she did. She BLOCKED me." I would pretend as if you don't even notice her. And so you shouldn't. She's nothing to you or him. You have a boyfriend and a good photography gig going on, and have lots of good things happening for you. Showing her attention with a block is giving her attention she doesn't deserve.

But if you absolutely can't stand it, blocking is your own private decision and you don't owe anyone an explanation for why you do it. If your boyfriend questions you about it, and you do feel the need to explain, you can just say it's not healthy for her to constantly check up and view your life, and you will consider unblocking if she shows that she's moved on.

Telling your boyfriend - especially if you're uncomfortable - is a good idea. He probably has no clue his ex is stalking you and he'd hopefully want to protect you.

I would suggest looking into creating a separate business page for your photography - especially if you plan to continue building that as a business. Right now, if that ex goes off the deep end and tries to grief your account, both your personal and photography content will get impacted. Keeping it separate gives you a layer of protection.

Do you want your boyfriend to talk to her and get her to stop? Or do you feel comfortable confronting her (maybe with your boyfriend nearby for safety)?

It's okay and totally within your rights to ask she stop stalking your page. You can ask that she give you space.

You're also totally valid for wanting to block her.

If I were in your shoes, I'd tell the boyfriend and show him the screenshots of her stalking activity (save them just in case). Then, I'd block the ex's account without talking to her. If she makes additional accounts, I'd inform the boyfriend again and block again.

She just sounds bitter and jealous and is feeding the wrong emotion during her grief.

I understand how annoying that probably is. You don't have to block her entirely, you can just hide your stories from her only. I don’t know if your boyfriend keeps in touch with her, although he shouldn't unless he has a kid from her, so you can just hide your stories from her to keep the peace. Or you can block her completely if you want, it's up to you. As an ex, she shouldn't be watching you that hard anyway.

Being open & honest with your boyfriend is the way to go & before you block her you two should have a little photography fun. Buy a wig & new clothes for your boyfriend & post a photo for you two kissing & title it kissing my new boyfriend.

She will most likely just create more accounts and keep snooping if you block her. But I do recommend that let your partner know whether or not you decide to block her. I don't think he should be expected to do anything about it since she's his ex and he has no business talking to her, but it is fair that he is aware of it especially if it bothers you. Whether you wanna block her though is up to you. I also have a public Instagram showcasing just my artwork and if my boyfriend's ex snooped in I wouldn't care because I don't post personal things or even my own photos there anyway.

I voted block her and don’t tell but I think I was just thinking of a guy I had been seeing who was still in love with his ex. Had I told him that his ex was spying on me he would have been thrilled and would have tried to hit her up. But hopefully y’all’s relationship is more secure (and even if he did try to go back to her then you would have your answer about where you stand). I think it’s fine to tell him but if you think he still has feelings for his ex you have to be prepared for that

is she in contact with your ex? if not maybe she just find yoy interesting. i look at people's instagram stories to be motivated to be productive or to have an idea what's the next beauty trend because usually even the expensive brands there are cheap alternatives or even just the idea is enough.
