I moved states away from home to live with my fiancé and since I’ve been here our relationship has turned bad. No fighting/arguing but it’s like I’m living with a roommate. His grandma lives with him too, and since I’ve been here she’s been $ hungry and always worried about what I do, when I do, how I do it-like I’m a damn child and I’m not!
All I wanted to do was focus on our goals and what we need but he isn’t doing that. He’s okay with being stressed out and waiting at his grandma beck and call. There’s no dates, rarely any quality time because she calls him for everything (even while we have sex).
I’m honestly tired of saying the same thing, expressing how I feel, explaining how I feel like the second option. He shuts down and never wants to speak on the issues.
I’m done. Lately he’s been basically ignoring me. Not even saying hello once I come home from work (yes I try to greet him and be affectionate but he just says get off him-he says it’s a joke but…just feels like I’m being neglected. So today I realize it’s over. I’m done talking. I am saving to go back home and I’m never looking back.
Now when I asked what was wrong yesterday he said nothing…yeah I’m done !

The question and alternative answers are written to suggest that this is a matter of technical compliance with some authoritative rule. There is no rule, and the more important consideration is to not start dating until you are "emotionally available" to a new partner. I had a few dates a few weeks before my divorce became final. And I was ready, not still hung up on doing battlw with me soon-to-be ex.
That’s true. I honestly don’t even want to date after this. Not because I plan to be bitter about the separation but we’ve been together for 4yrs. That’s not long to some but it was for me. I thought coming here would help with the progression of our relationship and goals we were planning to accomplish but it didn’t. I never really dated anyway so I’ll just become celibate and focus on my emotional and mental growth!
You don't need to decide now what you will do for the remainder of your life. You can just decide that you don't want to start dating now, and allow yourself to be open to reconsider that at a later time.
Your right! Thank you 😕
Your welcome. Good luck!
Can you ask someone for assistance in getting out?
I only have my best friend and he can barely handle his own stuff right now lol. He did offer for me to move in with him and we just be roommates and I plan on taking the offer. I work so I’m just going to save $ then just leave.
Best wishes to you.
Good decision
