This is a tough one. As magical as it is to lie under a palm tree amidst an ocean breeze, my family's favorite yearly memory by far is when i take a week off and we rent a condo on the local mountain to go skiing. Outdoor heated pool, cuddling up in warm blankets to watch a movie, making a fresh pot of coffee before hitting the slopes and, of course, being at the top of a snow covered mountain, that crisp cold air, and during midweek with not a soul in sight.

Ill take the mountain...

Although I enjoy engaging in several winter activities (skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiles, ice skating, etc.), I always seek the sound of waves crashing and catching the Sun set on the water.

I'd prefer the mountain, but not in the winter time. A nice secluded cabin on a lake would be awesome.

I can only sit on a beach for so long. In the mountain scenario we can go for a hike up top the mountain and see if there's a waterfall nearby for skinny dipping.

I’m from the islands and he’s a mainlander. I highly doubt you’ll catch us on a mountain with snow. We’ll take the beach.
