When is the last time you were head over heels in love?

In love? Never. The closest I got was when I was in college. I worked during the week so that I might have a few hours with her on the weekend. Some of the time, she'd study with me, so we got work done and had SOME "quality time." Then she cheated. A lot. With multiple people. I found out, and we broke up. All within three or four months. So I suppose I didn't really let myself get TOO interested. Like I wasn't suggesting we move in together after a month or anything. I think it was sort of like a "wait and see" kind of take. But it was fun. I wish I had it again (only without the cheating, obviously), but I haven't had that since.

Had a BIG crush on someone? I try not to, but sometimes, it still happens. I generally had more of those in high school and college, though I have had some big ones in the last five years. I think I've been so hurt that I'm just tired of it, and so I don't let myself be too excited for someone I haven't even officially asked out yet.

I'm not "stupidly head over heels" or anything. I try to occupy my mind with more in life than just a specific woman, so if and when she shoots me down, I don't fall too hard. I don't want to put anyone on a pedestal right now.

I am right now. My wife and I celebrated our 26th anniversary yesterday.

Before that, it was with a woman I met when I was 36. We wound up living together for over a year. I loved her with my heart and soul and she loved me. Even though we couldn't be life-long partners, I still love her and will never forget her.
