Why is my partner like this?

Me and partner have been together 4-5 years
We just have a baby now
We decided to move in together as a family

But he's been paranoid

When he's at work.. sometimes if he messages and i dont reply fast, he will call and say
“U home?
“Is someone else over?
“What u doing?

Etc

And when our agent calls a male tradesperson to fix our bathroom, my partner will tell a time where he will be there when they come
Doesn’t want me to be alone

Why is he like this?
Even when we have a baby now
