To the anonymous old man that blocked me : no, I'm proving a point, that you jumped right in when you thought it was you dating a super young gal but when the roles are reversed you wouldn't even THINK IT! nor would you be proud of some friend of yours dating a super old woman, much less your son, but if the roles were reversed AGAIN, you WOULD BE PROUD that one of your friends is fucking a super young woman and/or happy that your son is involved with a super young woman. I was involved with a 44 year old when I was 24 so i know what 20 year gap looks like.

She was the best partner I ever had, I don't think anyone can meet her standard on many levels.

But our relationship reached a glass ceiling:
I couldn't tell my partents that my girlfriend was closer to their age than mine and she couldn't tell hers she's dating someone younger than her nephews.

Eventually all the sneaking around got very old and we both wanted stability and to have experiences in the open together.

Breaking up with her was the hardest thing I had to do but it was necessary.

Moral of the story is: if you can pull it off and have it be a regular relationship there's no problem with it.
But if it's something you can't go public with it will fail at some point

You guys are jumping on me for not wating to share my relationship with her when she did the exact same.
She would lie to her family about where she's going to come be with me she even introduced me as a friend/tour guide to her daughter and made sure the girl never found out anything.

So yeah I didn't wanna share my relationship with her with the world but neither did she. We both knew it, we both said it out loud , and we both agreed it wouldn't end well if we did.

This idealistic romance novel of "YOU could have fought for your love" doesn't work in real life. In real life she lives with her parents because she can't afford her own place while putting her daughter through school so them kicking her out over this would be disastrous.
In real life i live and work in a foreign country on a work visa and should that work dissappear and I'm forced to go home I need to stay at my parent's place as I have no residence in my home country.

This is not to say what we had wasn't worth fighting for but we HAD to chose our battles and eventually we weren't getting anywhere anymore.

It is more common as 20's girls don't want 20's guys so the latter have to moved up the age bracket to get sex. Know a couple like this. The guy's mom asked the 50 yo woman how old are you as the first thing when she met her. The mom was probably 50.
