Girls, in the movie "I Give It a Year", do you think the young husband's behaviour is realistic?

Anyways it's about a pedantic egoist working as a self-employed writer and married to a classy woman working as a marketing director. He keeps contact to his ex-girlfriend of whom his wife finds out they never quit really despite him getting married. First the wife flirts with a client of hers, then the husband turns back to his ex-girlfriend who senses his interest. At some point the husband and wife do spend time together with the wife's affair and the husband's ex-girlfriend, and it becomes obvious how shallow and ignorant the husband is to both women, while the affair keeps on complimenting the husband's ex-girlfriend who his wife kept on encouraging him to date, because she started hating him quite early after marriage. That's the point in the plot where I stopped watching, because that husband is too much to bear with.
