No. I'm private and when it comes to my relationships with people, platonic, romantic, family etc. If a relationship was ruined because of social media, it was mainly because of the guy being mad I wasn't posting him on my page. Or someone in general being a clout chaser wanting to be associated with me or being nosey about me. I remember two guys that were upset with me about not posting or changing my relationship status with them. I wasn't hiding anything, but I didn't know them that long for them to be making those sorts of demands and I found that narcissistic and creepy. Another just unfriended me because he thought I'd care and beg for the validation and my thought was I'm not doing that because who do you think you are? Not anyone that can humble me especially when I'm not conceited, have fun with that. In my opinion it depends on how weak-willed or low self-esteem someone is: Like yeah you can like social media and be open, but it isn't that serious to post relationship status. If someone is going to cheat that's their character and they feel social media is a crutch that offers them variety. Some people are more egotistical and again low self-esteem trying to be more important and relevant than they actually are. That's how I think social media possibly ruins relationships.
People who take social media seriously and I also include dating apps will absolutely positively suffer in the real world for it. Because it's mostly all fake and everything online is mostly exaggerated. Use it only for dumb entertainment but never ever take it as reality.
Relationships aren't ruined by outside entertainment. They can be ruined by tragic events. Relationships that fail because one partner neglects the relationship for some external activity were never going to last. Before the internet it was television. There's always been something.
I think the internet ruins more than just relationships... It ruins people's ability to be social, it ruins people’s health... It just ruins people in general. The internet is a cesspool and has done twice as much harm as it'll ever do good.

It’s definitely does more bad then good. But ruining 96% of relationships? I dunno that seems quite an exaggeration.
It also does some minor good by bringing some people to together. But overall it’s bad for a whole multitude of reasons.
I think it makes it do much tougher for men. For starters, your relationship status is put out there for everyone to see meaning, any new chick you run into is going to be able to do recon on you. This limits a man's ability to have multiple women, forcing many young guys to operate from a scarcity mentality.
People use social media as a source of information and that screws with the minds of people because most of it is garbage. This site is proof of that.
I guess yes. Social media brings a lot of distractions with it. When you start giving time to s social media instead of this partner, it creates problems
No, but the phrase "Internet runes" makes me want to form a techno-Viking metal band, and I'm disappointed that that doesn't already exist.
I don’t think it’s that high… maybe for younger generations. But the internet definitely destabilized society.
No. I think people who are interested in LDRs are a minority. Most people want to show themself or to brag with their friends and assets.
It can make it more difficult for sure but essentially the relationship is still the people involved responsibility.
I'm not sure that they ruin the relationships at that rate, but they definitely aren't helping anything.
Only if they’re tempted by lust and financial gain and are brainwashed by strangers to try a different life, evil temptation when they’re already in a relationship with somebody
Social media has made 96% of women in the West unsuitable for serious relationships or marriage.
No, it is solely on the people who believe the crap others are spewing instead of thinking for themselves.
No but it does ruin a lot of them
Probably more like 70%
yes, but i think 96% is way too high
No I don't believe it
