I am in relationship with a Filipino girl and in Hindu We didn’t find it’s good to eat beef/pork but my girlfriend want me to eat both what I do?

listen to your heart. if your traditions are important to you, then stick to them. it is part of your cultural heritage, so a person must understand how ingrained this is. at the same time, it is nice to experience different culture through a relationship :)

she must understand how important this part of you is then. it is at the heart of your religion and culture. you can show her you care for her in many other ways besides this. what if a girlfriend told someone to stop praying to mecca? stop believing in god?

but i understand you don't want to lose her. but think--are you trying to change things that are important to her beliefs? it is unfair.

and for the record, i am not a religious person myself. i just respect how much our culture can be part of us. here is one thought. perhaps ask her "is there another part of your culture i can learn about first/instead?"

do what you want to do. if you feel strongly that eating beef and pork goes against your religion then you should follow that tenant. your partner will need to respect that position or move on. there's plenty of meats to eat other than beef and pork

In a relationship, partners have to respect their preferences or choices. Of course, I don't say about hurting stuff, just normal, everyday choices.
