It depends, what do you mean as a break. I consider it normal that people need to rest from each other.

I have no problem with leaving to visit my family, friends or just stay some time alone up to one week and my SO should have the same rights.

The key is to keep each other informed. Where, how long and with whom. We are people with different needs. Let's be accommodating.

I don't think you should need breaks during when you are in healthy long-term relationship. There are usually enough breaks in most relationships, for example when you are working apart during the day.

A break as in, lets break up and date other people, then get back together? no. Wouldn't be heathy for our trust or self esteem. But a couple of days for you girls to hang out. I am ok with that.
