So.. .. .. my girlfriend has a male friend and they have been knowing each other since a long time, almost for 7-8 years. Recently her friend confessed his feelings to my girlfriend saying I love you even while knowing that she is in a relationship with me! I confronted my girlfriend and she spoke to him and the air is cleared. . . But I can't stand the fact that he is still around. . . And I don't think I can even in future! What to do?

You step the fuck up. Be a man. I’m not saying kick his ass but you need to speak up. It’s very disrespectful to you. Knowing this now your girl needs to move on from him. There’s no just friends now between them. She knows now. She’s been friends w him for a while. Who do you think she will go to when you two are having a rough time in your relationship ship. You’re a man, you know what other men want to do to other women who are cute, they want to smash them. If he liked her why did he wait till she was w you to say something?

I think he did feel love for her and wanted to be more than friends, but was too afraid to tell her for fear he would lose her friendship and he didn't want to lose her in his life.

Believe me, he never expected you to come along. But now that you have, he is probably kicking himself in the head because he waited too long to ask her to be his girlfriend. This is tough because they did put a lot of time in together. You could never have with her what they had together.

He just took too long to profess his love for her. And when a guy waits too long, sometimes he doesn't get the girl.
Same thing if they play hard to get - they don't always get the girl.

This a hard one because they were friends' way before you were around so it's a tough to break them up that easily. Not sure how long you two have been together but if you just started dating, you will come across the jealous type. I say since girlfriend already spoken to him, then don't think any more of it. You can't control what other people feel but you can only control how you feel. Don't feel insecure, your girlfriend already did the right thing.
