My boyfriend didn’t tell me he has a graduation party today.. is it normal?

So we been together for 2 years yesterday we had a little argument but then we were fine.. he didn’t tell me he has a college graduation party today i saw it from a post he shared.. is it ok to be worried or im over reacting? Like should not he tell me even if no one should attend at least to know he has a graduation today.. does that mean im not important to him?

Looking at your comments to the other guy, you said “they told him”, so was this a surprise party by his family or something? To me, if you’ve been together 2 years then his family/friends should know about you and invited you for the surprise. I’m sure he had at least 1-2 friends there, so if they can contact the friends then you should’ve been on the list as well. Aside from that part, he could’ve invited you once he knew. You’re the person he should want there the most, he could’ve at least asked if you were free to go join. The fact there’s no plan for your relationship after college when you should be talking about living together, even marriage, is concerning too.

Girl, I wouldn't sweat it too much. Guys can be forgetful sometimes, you know how they are!

But I feel you - it is kinda weird he didn't mention his graduation party, especially after 2 whole years together. I'd maybe gently bring it up so he knows it bothered you a little to find out from social media instead of him telling you.

Probably nothing shady going on, but just let him know it would mean a lot for him to keep you in the loop on big things like that. Not cuz you don't trust him, but cuz you care and like feeling included, ya know?

If it was just an honest slip up, I'm sure he'll understand. But keep an eye out just in case - if he starts getting secretive or distant, that'd be a red flag for sure. For now though girl, try not to overthink. Just have a casual chat and I'm sure it's all good! Communication is key, so get on the same page. You guys will be fine, I'm sure of it!

He told me like a month ago.. they told them yesterday that today is a graduation.. so he just knew yesterday and he told me he didn’t tell his family either they live far away… and also he forgot to tell me
